Beetroot is a good source of iron and folate, whilst also containing other antioxidants that are good for reducing the risk of obesity.
It’s also very good for the health of your heart, as the rich nitrates convert into nitric oxide. This allows your muscles to relax and your arteries to dilate, which ultimately helps to bring your blood pressure down.
Other than being a popular veggie in smoothies, Kale also has a high antioxidant level. This neutralises those bad free radicals that cause cellular damage in your body.
